6th Breast Intentions Mardi Gras will aid breast cancer patients

Unique group helps families pay everyday living expenses Joliet – Let the good times roll as Breast Intentions of Illinois hosts its sixth annual “Mardi Gras Madness” fundraiser to help offset daily living costs for breast cancer patients and their families. The “decadence-filled” evening will be held from 6-10:30 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 in the ballroom at Joliet’s magnificent Jacob Henry Mansion, 15 S. Richards Street in Joliet. Renowned Chicago-area jazz vocal group Nova Soul will provide the evening’s entertainment. The event will also include a photo booth, appetizers, a cash bar, raffle baskets and split the pot raffles. Breast Intentions of Illinois will host its Fall “Boobie Bingo” event Friday, October 20, 2017 to raise money to help offset daily living costs for breast cancer patients and their families. Boobie Bingo will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Cantigny Post 367, 826 Horseshoe Drive, Joliet. Tickets are $25 at the door. Gift baskets and designer purses will be raffled and given away. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for a fabulous fish and chicken dinner, or participants may also bring their own snacks. The Bingo hall doors open at 5 p.m. Boobie Bingo is open to everyone 18 years old or older. 2017 GOLF OUTING | August 22, 2017

Joliet – Breast Intentions of Illinois will host its fifth annual golf outing on Saturday, September 9, 2017 to help benefit breast cancer patients and their families. The event will be held at the Inwood Golf Course, 3200 W. Jefferson St., Joliet. Activities will will include a Bloody Mary bar, driving range, on-course prizes and games, Lunch at the Turn and raffles and auctions. Registration will start at 7:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Dinner will be served at 3 p.m. Golfers can sign up for $135 per person, or $540 for a foursome. Sponsorships are also available. by Bob Livingston Chinese researchers have shown that several essential oils will kill 90 percent or more of breast cancer cells. The American brand of breast cancer treatment typically involves the cut and burn method: surgery (often complete removal of one or both breasts) followed by one or more rounds of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. These treatments are often worse than the disease. In fact, researchers have determined that chemotherapy is actually a catalyst for cancer-cell growth. But essential oils are natural substances that provide an assortment of health benefits beyond their ability to fight cancer cells.
